Paulina Baer (She/Her/Hers)Associate Marriage and Family Therapist at The Feeling Space
Paulina Baer, AMFT #164081 (She/Her), is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist in California under the supervision of Lisa Jellison, M.A., LMFT #46430 and Danielle Golan, LMFT #134068. Paulina works with adults, couples and families moving through the transitions that reshape a life, as well as the quieter shifts that are harder to name. Sometimes something specific has shifted your world, like a baby, a move, the end of a relationship, or a loss. Sometimes it can even seem like nothing has changed, yet things still feel off in a way that's disorienting. What brings people in varies widely, but many share a sense of feeling stretched thin, disconnected, or unsure who they are underneath everything they're carrying. Wherever you are, and however you're holding up, therapy can be a place to slow down and stop outrunning the feeling. Paulina specializes in matrescence and new parenthood, life transitions, perfectionism, people-pleasing, and high-functioning anxiety. She helps clients who look fine on the outside while sensing there's something deeper asking to be met, whether they're barely keeping up or holding it all together and still feel alone in it. Her approach is warm, grounded, and collaborative, offering space to feel understood while gently working toward change. Drawing on psychodynamic and depth-oriented therapy, somatic and body-based work, Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed parts work, and Brainspotting-informed care, Paulina helps clients understand the early relationships, unconscious patterns, and inner parts still shaping their lives now. Together, they work on listening to what the body already knows, meeting the parts that have worked hard to protect them, and reaching what lives beneath language rather than only talking about it. The goal is not to become a more polished version of yourself, but to feel more at home in who you are and freer in your relationships, your work, and your everyday life. Having come to this work through years in the fitness and wellness world before training as a psychotherapist, Paulina brings an embodied, whole-person sensibility to therapy, attentive to the connection between mind, body, and nervous system. She holds an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles and is also a certified yoga teacher and integrative nutrition and Ayurvedic health coach. As a new mother herself, she holds the terrain of early parenthood and identity change with particular care, and welcomes clients into a nonjudgmental space where they don't have to perform or have everything figured out. Paulina offers in-person therapy in West Los Angeles as well as online therapy throughout California. [email protected] (213) 650-2125 |
