Drayton Benedict (He/Him/His)Associate Therapist at The Feeling Space
Drayton Benedict, M.A., AMFT #144470 (He/Him) is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of California under the supervision of Lisa Jellison, M.A., LMFT#46430 and Jennifer Bearden, M.A., LCSW #22781. Drayton cares greatly about supporting those who feel unseen or on the outskirts. While he is competent working with clients of all demographics living with depression or OCD, Drayton specializes in working with queer/LGBTQIA+ teens and young adults as they navigate life transitions, identity formation, and relationships. Drayton also cares greatly about his work with seniors, elders, and/or folks facing terminal illnesses. In this sort of work, Drayton is proud to support clients that often feel overlooked, forgotten, or scared of changing life circumstances and even death. To help clients reach their goals, Drayton uses narrative therapy, IFS/parts-work modalities, and psychodynamic theory. Across all his work, he sees the additive value of creativity, and looks for ways to use the power of stories and art in the therapy. With a background as a creative professional, he also understands the unique challenges faced by those in the entertainment industry. Drayton has availability via telehealth all over California. |
